Final Design Mockup
My process in forming my thoughts and ideas for project 4 was a tough decision to choose a topic to focus on. I first thought of a baby shower idea, I went with, but ultimately after class I thought about it for a good time and thought, would a baby shower be a good choice? My mind went with a fictional festival called Fusion Fest and thought it was very catchy and original. I made some additional sketches ahead of time so I was in tip-top shape for the phase 2.
The process and eventual progress towards completing phase 2 of project 4 was deep waters indeed. I came up with three designs for people to choose from in case one did not work, or a majority of my classmates really liked and I could solely focus on making the one better. A lot of people liked my colorful the piano as the main piece, and so I tweaked it a little bit and found the actual colors of Chicago, in which that was not my first intention to make it resemble the colors of Chicago, more of I need to make this colorful, I need colors that fit will together and are pleasant to look at. I changed the colors to make it more accurate to the flag and switched a few things around to make it more of an obscure design. In the end I learned a lot about hierarchy with this assignment, and will use that knowledge towards my future pieces.
